Effective date: 1 May 2026
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Shubble platform, including the mobile applications, website, bookings, payments, support channels, and related services.
By using Shubble, you agree to these Terms and the policies linked from the Shubble website or app.
Who we are
Shubble is operated by Shubble (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2020/049097/07, at 153 Main Road, Somerset West, South Africa.
Nature of the service
Shubble provides a technology platform that helps users book, manage, pay for, and monitor transport services provided by drivers, operators, or licensed partners in designated areas.
Operators and drivers may be independent service providers, or drivers may be employed or contracted by an operator. Operators and drivers are responsible for the safe and lawful operation of their vehicles and for meeting Shubble platform standards.
Shubble provides platform access, booking tools, payment facilitation, safety standards, support processes, and operational oversight. Shubble may suspend access where safety, fraud, misuse, or policy concerns arise.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to create and control a Shubble account. You must provide accurate, complete information and keep account, contact, safety, and payment details up to date.
You are responsible for bookings made under your account and for keeping your sign-in details secure. Tell Shubble immediately if you suspect unauthorised account use.
Where rides are booked for minors, the booking user confirms that they are the parent or legal guardian, or are authorised by the parent or legal guardian.
Bookings and trips
Trips must be booked through the platform. Availability is not guaranteed until the booking and payment flow confirms the ride according to the current app booking process.
You are responsible for correct pickup and drop-off details, passenger readiness at the scheduled time, gate or access instructions, special notes, and emergency or safety information.
For recurring rides, you remain responsible for ensuring the schedule stays correct and for cancelling or updating trips when circumstances change.
Services involving minors
Shubble may be used to arrange transport for minors. Families must ensure children are ready, reachable where appropriate, and that all pickup, drop-off, safety, medical, access, and special care instructions are clear and current.
Shubble, operators, and drivers will take reasonable care within the agreed service parameters, but Shubble cannot guarantee uninterrupted supervision outside the service being booked.
Safety and conduct
Users must behave respectfully toward drivers, operators, support teams, and other passengers. You may not misuse the platform, endanger anyone, provide false information, interfere with a trip, or use Shubble for unlawful purposes.
Shubble may use safety features such as trip tracking, live trip updates, driver verification, panic or emergency workflows where available, vehicle or route monitoring where applicable, and support review. These features are intended to improve safety but do not remove all risk.
Payments, cancellations, and refunds
Payments must be made through the platform unless Shubble expressly provides another approved process. Pricing may include base fees, distance, time, vehicle tier, route, operational costs, or other applicable charges shown in the app.
Shubble may adjust pricing, reject invalid bookings, charge cancellation fees, or pause a booking where payment, fraud, safety, or operational concerns exist.
Refund outcomes depend on timing, responsibility for the cancellation, payment state, and support review. Read the Refund and Cancellation Policy for the current launch policy.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shubble is not liable for losses caused by incorrect user information, user misuse, delays, missed pickups, service interruptions, actions or omissions of users, operators, or drivers, or events outside the reasonable control of Shubble.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited under South African law.
Suspension and termination
Shubble may suspend, restrict, or terminate account or platform access where these Terms are breached, safety concerns arise, fraud or misuse is suspected, payment issues remain unresolved, or continued access creates operational or legal risk.
Intellectual property
The Shubble platform, brand, technology, content, and related materials remain the property of Shubble or its licensors. Users may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or use Shubble branding without permission.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts unless another lawful dispute process applies.
Changes and support
Shubble may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after updated Terms are published means you accept the updated Terms.
During an active ride, riders should use the trip screen to call or message the driver first, then contact support if the issue is still unresolved.
